Types of malaria tablets include:

  • Doxycycline: Take one tablet daily, starting two days before travel and continuing for four weeks after return.
  • Malarone: Take one tablet daily, starting two days before travel and continuing for seven days after return.
  • Chloroquine and Proguanil: For adults over 45kg, take one Chloroquine tablet per week and one Proguanil tablet daily, starting seven days before travel and continuing for four weeks after return.

Your pharmacist will help determine the best option based on your destination, medical history, and personal preference.
